Umpqua River Inn & Suites

It was a fluke that we ended up in Reedsport last week and were looking for a hotel to spend the night in before we drove on Hwy. 38 over to I-5 the next day. A hotel in downtown Reedsport was full because of a convention there, and the clerk suggested (since we were going to head east towards I-5 the next day) that we should consider the Umpqua River Inn & Suites just a few miles east of Reedsport on Hwy. 38.||The Inn was right on the Umpqua River....with a beautiful swath of lawn behind the Umpqua River Inn & Suites...literally, right on the river. Beautiful view from the back windows of our room...which had a small kitchen, and also there was a sofa to relax on and watch the large TV screen. This was a last minute decision to make this the place for the night. I am REALLY glad we did. The place was great. It sat right on the Umpqua River with windows looking towards it. The owners were great and very nice. We got in a bit late and for one of the only times I was sad we got in so late and needed to leave early. If I am ever back in this area this will be the place I will stay. My ONLY complaint is the road noise. That did not keep me from sleeping though and I had a great nights sleep. I think the road condition has something to do with the amount of road noise. The location's star rating is only for the road noise. The tide was low when I took the pictures in the morning.

I absolutely love this place! I've been there a couple times and I plan on going back soon! I'm so comfortable in the rooms and the woman at the desk is so awesome, helpful, fast, and an all around perfect person to have in customer service. They have a canoe to use, horse shoes, golf, fishing, and a bonfire area as well as a bbq patio area.

Wowwwww !!! I’ve stayed in many hotel rooms through the years . Nothing compares! Krista & Bruce were wonderful hosts ! It was our 25th anniversary , they reserved us a Suite and had beautiful flowers waiting for us in the room with a little note wishing us a Happy Anniversary 💖 They put a sweet personal touch along with their professional skills . I don’t know who owns this place , but I do know that you have a gem in them and I hope you appreciate them ! The accommodations were very comfortable and homey ! Traveled to coast a few weeks ago and as we passed the Inn along the river, I said I would love to stay here as the location was picturesque and Inn was inviting. I made reservations next day and rescheduled 3 times waiting for perfect weather. Not disappointed. Crystal, Inn hostess was wonderful. I slipped in mud walking to river (my fault) and she washed my dirty clothes just like a best friend 💝and husband returned them clean and folded. It is off the highway so a little traffic at night but otherwise very quiet. The stars were amazing. Our dogs loved it. Our bed was very comfortable and the room beautiful. It wasn’t “fancy” however it was very clean and tasteful. Painting trim along ceiling perfect- yes I notice these things. There was excitement during night with a bear sigh
