TRYP by Wyndham New York City Times Square South

I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this hotel on trip advisor. We LOVED everything about it (group of 4 adults)! The staff was so helpful and nice. Southwest reserved us a room in France instead of this hotel (our confirmation showed this hotel, we didn't know it was wrong until we showed up to check in) and they were so helpful in getting us a room. The rooms were super clean, beds were and pillows were super comfy, room was spacious (especially for NYC), views were amazing, heat was great and it was COLD outside while we were there!! We stayed in 1411 for reference and would 100% stay here again.

DO NOT STAY HERE - BED BUG INFESTATION AND HOSTILE MANAGEMENT!!! We had a horrible experience at this hotel. We found a bed bug in our room and notified the front desk immediately. They moved us to a different room but refused to help us any further, claiming they were unable to do anything without a manager. The next day the manager conveniently still wasn’t there and only came to speak with us after we made it clear that we weren’t leaving without talking to him. The manager’s name is John Sharma and was incredibly disrespectful to us. He claimed there were no bed bugs (despite our photo and video evidence) and implied that we had brought them in ourselves. Positive: The room was clean, housekeeping did a wonderful job. The lobby was clean and you never had to wait for an elevator. Overall the hotel was a very nice value. Negative: When we checked in, they told us that their key machine was not working. For the Length of our stay (4 nights) we did not have a key. We had to tell the front desk that we needed our room unlocked, and they had ONE employee to open doors for the hotel.

We recently stayed in a 14th-floor corner room at TRYP, and the space and views were absolutely fantastic—easily the highlight of the stay. Check-in was a breeze, and the location is perfect for anyone wanting to be near Times Square without being right in the middle of the chaos. However, the room was freezing. To the staff's credit, they were very responsive and brought up a space heater and extra blankets immediately, but it seems like a known issue. The pizza from room service was surprisingly good! My only major complaint is the gym; it was quite dirty and lacked any sanitizing wipes, which made working out feel pretty unhygienic. Great for the location and the staff, but the HVAC and gym cleanliness need work.

Great little spot! Stayed here with my wife and three children. We had a family suite which had two large double beds and a double pull out sofa bed all of which were really comfortable! Room was clean and warm.The bathroom was large and shower worked amazingly. There was a coffee machine and a fridge in our room, the fridge seemed to freeze everything but I think we had it on the wrong temperature. The location was great, police precinct next door, right next to Penn Station so easy to get around and only a few stops from Central Park. There's liberty bagels literally a minutes walk if that which was great for breakfast. I believe the hotel offers breakfast but we didn't have it. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the reception was nice and welcoming, they also gave a bar oppo
