Truckee Donner Lodge

We drive 10hours to Northern-star Compare to other hotel that expansive this hotel was cheapest and the best experience. The room was comfortable and clean; it was exactly like what the picture shows. The room was cozy keep us warm during the night. The staff was friendly and gentle during our stay. When something was down they let us know and fixed it, for example when we arrived they said the coffee machine was down but they fixed it before morning rush. They also help us made sure our car wasn't tolled and give us a shovel when we didn't have one to dig our car out. The downside the hot tub is still down. But there warm water in the shower so there nothing to much to complain about.

This is a fairly new hotel a little way from the main part of town. It had a nice lobby area, and the room was spacious and clean. We really enjoyed the coffee shop next door.

Positive: Location Negative: The bed was filthy I had to be moved to another room. The tolet in the other room was dirty

Overall experience was very mid. No vending machines. Laundry room didn't have a soap vender. Who brings laundry soap on vacation? Room wasn't grand. Very mid for the price. Same beds they use in Super 8 chains. Lumpy. Very very cheap beds. Bathroom wasn't the cleanest. Shower curtain rod is about to fall off the wall. Bathroom fan is horrendously loud and doesn't work. Best thing is the location. Very convenient and easy to access and I see the area is getting a lot of new homes so hopefully they turn it all around. Currently mid, but so much potential here to be great. Please listen to your guests. We want you to be great.

Convenient for a family of 4. Spacious and clean room. Seems mostly recently renovated. Microwave and fridge in the room. Parking is close out front. Elevator is a little slow.
