Loch Leven Lodge

This place is an absolute gem. Its easily my most favorite place. Was there this weekend and it was just beautiful. Daren and his wife were kind and very welcoming. I will definitely be coming back!!

This is a beautiful lodge right on the shore of Donner Lake. An expansive deck is a great place to sit quietly and enjoy the view, have a glass of wine, or barbecue. Mike was a great host. We arrived late, and he called to let us know that our room was ready and unlocked for us. When he got back to the lodge he came over to meet us, gave us great recommendations for dinner, and even made reservations for us. I would have given 5-stars, except that we were on the bottom floor, and the creaky floors from the people above us were quite noisy.

What a place Truckee is. Off the beaten track slightly but wow such a nice area. The lodge was amazing, the owners were super friendly and helpful. Location was phenomenal and the lake was amazing. The hot tub is lovely and the rooms are super warm if you are staying in winter. It would be great if they would have a room with 2 fix beds but that's ok. The pullout was ok but noisy when you moved or got up. I will be back.

We have stayed here twice and loved it both times. The view is gorgeous and the rooms are so cute. The hot tub is so relaxing and there is plenty of room on the deck to lounge. The staff is also super friendly!!

This hotel is very much worth 5 stars. The view and service is immaculate. Comes with a full kitchen, a coffee machine and a whole lot more. Unfortunately it’s in need of a renovation. The water takes 5 minutes to get warm and the deck creaks with every step you take (It wakes the neighbors up). There are light bulbs that are out, etc.
