Tru by Hilton Scottsdale Salt River

I stayed two nights at the Tru by Hilton Scottsdale Salt River and had a really good experience. The hotel was clean, modern, and comfortable, and the staff was friendly throughout my stay. Everything felt well kept and easy, which is really all you want when traveling. Personally, I think Scottsdale is the best place to stay when visiting the Phoenix area. It’s a little out of the way compared to downtown Phoenix, but the drive is absolutely worth it. The area feels nicer, more relaxed, and there’s plenty to do nearby. You’re very close to Salt River Fields at Talking Stick (about 1–2 miles away), which is great if you’re in town for spring training. The OdySea Aquarium, Talking Stick Resort, and Topgolf are also just a few minutes away. There are some really good restaurants nearby too

Not perfect, and it pains me to give 5 stars to a mega corporation, 4 1/2 is probably fair, but a couple things made me not want to ding it down to 4. In particular, the staff was always pleasant and helpful during a two week emergency stay. The room was top notch for a long stay, nice touches including the desk on wheels to set up wherever want. Clean and modern. The breakfast was good, a little above average for the type. The pool while small is well heated with a hot tub. The fitness room has a lot of cardio equipment, dumbbells and a bench and one multi-machine. There are several restaurants within a couple minute walk. The few downsides include complete ridiculousness on the price of doing laundry. $3 for one load to wash, $3 for one load to dry, and then $3 for a one-use detergent p

Elexus at the front desk was amazing! She was super friendly, welcoming, and made check-in quick and easy. She answered all our questions and had such a great attitude the whole time. Her customer service really stood out and made our stay even better. Big shoutout to Elexus—thank you!
