Tru by Hilton Edinburg

Stayed there last week. Had a wonderful time there. Top floor view, good breakfast, clean rooms. Front desk staff were super kind. Had a nice chat with Nathan. He answered all my questions about the valley and were I could get some good Mexican food, suggested the fish soup from El Porton was the place if I remember correctly. All in all a wonderful stay 10/10 would stay again.

The Tru by Hilton in Edinburg, Texas is the best hotel by far that we have stayed at. The front desk staff were so nice and accommodating. I needed an extra pillow and blanket and they ran and got it immediately. We stayed in Room 308 and it was spotless clean! The bed was comfortable and the TV was great! It had a nice selection of channels. They had my favorite channel God and Family!!! I was so happy about that! We have stayed at other places and that was not the case. What a pleasant surprise when it was so clean. We checked out on December 7th at 10:45 and the gentleman that checked us out was so nice. He was working the breakfast, which was great! The oatmeal is delicious! When this gentleman was working, he replaced empty containers and brought new out quickly. I didn’t get his

So I came on a Sunday at approx 12:45pm and the young blond girl in the back of this photo claims to tell me that there are no rooms available and that it would be about an hour. I purposely sat in front so that these two young ladies would see me. One hour passed and all they were doing was on their phone. Checkout is at noon and you can’t tell me that the housekeepers don’t start cleaning early that there wasn’t at least one room ready by 1:30pm. I went ahead and cancelled my reservation and went to Aloft in McAllen. Disappointed that I was there on business from Dallas—a Diamond Member and a Corporate client. Positive: The hotel was clean, it smelled great and was cold. My room was cold and I had a great night sleep. Negative: I did not like the roll in shower with short shower curtains. I had to be very careful to not flood the bathroom, which I did not get to truly relax and enjoy the shower.

Room was clean and fully stocked. Breakfast area was cleaned constantly and had many options. Olga was always cleaning, asking if we needed anything. Olga made it amazing.
