MainStay Suites Edinburg South

I love it already. I’m looking forward to a goodnight stay and amazing breakfast tomorrow morning. Front desk was super friendly and knowledgeable. I’d give the place a 10/5 stars just because of him. Y’all should give him a raise MainStay 🧐.

The room and hotel and general are always clean and inviting. The staff is ALWAYS very professional, courteous, polite, friendly and accommodating with any concerns. This is my "go to" hotel when visiting the Rio Grande Valley.

Positive: Accommodations like full refrigerator, stove, pots/pans, that make it feel like home! 🩷 Negative: This is the only time I experienced this, the cold water from shower was coming out on low stream, so my showers were too warm. Reported it, and the front desk apologized and would send someone to check it out right away before someone else checks in.

Room smelled very damp and stuffy - kind of like wet laundry. But it was quiet, and the mattresses were comfortable. The room seemed clean as well. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the woman running the breakfast is great.

They messed up our days and tried kicking us out a whole day early. Then we had to constantly complain about the smell of marijuana in the whole side of the building we were in with our autistic 7 year old. When we asked for towels, they went to the room and took the old ones that were in there and inspected them and said we were getting charged because they were used. What else are we supposed to do with the towels? Just look at them? Then the evening front desk girl had the worse attitude. We weren’t the only ones upset with her behavior and attitude. All the manager could say was that they knew about the illegal drug use and apologize for the mistakes and her employees crabby attitude. Breakfast was disappointing and upset our stomachs from day 1. We typically use this hotel when we vis
