Trip Hotel Ithaca

This hotel was easily the worst hotel I've ever stayed at in my life. I am not making this statement lightly, as I have stayed at many hotels in sketchy locations before (middle of nowhere motel on the way to Boston, run down motel in drinker area of Ocean City) and I have been absolutely unbothered. A place to stay is a place to stay. My friend and I were looking for a cheap place to stay last minute because our Air BnB cancelled on us. We saw this hotel at a cheap price ($71/night) and decided to book it. The bad reviews on here were evident, but because we had weathered such sketchy hotels in the past with no problem, we decided to go for it anyway. Really needs an upgrade. On a quieter day, when there are no cars in the parking lot, it really looks abandoned. Most of the rooms and all of the common areas are very tired looking. The shower squeels when on, and the water comes out yellow for about 30seconds when first turned on. Pool was seasonally closed, so don't know how clean it is. Front desk staff very friendly and accommodating. King rooms are good size with a small sitting area. Breakfast was below average. Lots of parking available.

My dad and I have stayed here a couple of times before. The rooms were decent and surprisingly good in comparison to the rest of the hotel. Not bad. This time, we walked into our room and it was not made up. I’m talking dirty sheets and pillows half thrown off the beds. The sink had brown gunk in it and the bathtub had hair all over it. We could not believe our eyes. We got a new room and the woman at the desk was very apologetic but we will never book a hotel room here again.

The WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. Please read this review and think twice before booking a room. As the other reviews have mentioned, the building looks abandoned and the parking lot is full of potholes and in general disrepair. The staff checking us in seemed nice, but once we arrived in our room we just could not stay there. There was mold all over the bathtub, a patched ceiling repair with mold and soap scum all over the tub. The carpet was coming up in places, visible stains on the furniture and chipping paint all over. I didn't feel comfortable even walking around. At night it is even worse! There are no lights in the parking lot, so you feel vulnerable getting out of your car and a path that cuts through straight to the rooms has seemingly been under construction for a long time

Huge potholes in parking lot, no carpet in parts of hallway, half the building closed off, pool looked like a bomb had gone off. Evidently they don't own a sweeper, halls littered & dirty.. Positives: the room was very clean & in good condition; breakfast was great, the attendant was pleasant & did a great job. It was convenient for our event but overall, AVOID IT!
