The Statler Hotel at Cornell University

The hotel is beautifully located on Cornell University’s central campus. We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful time. The student workers are lovely and so helpful. Alessandra, a freshman at Cornell, was especially outstanding. She was incredibly quick and attentive every time we needed our valet car parked or retrieved, which made going in and out of the hotel effortless. Her warm attitude, efficiency, and professionalism truly stood out and elevated our experience. We were impressed by how she handled everything especially given the business of the hotel. We would absolutely stay here again.

The Statler Hotel is exactly what you want in Ithaca; polished, friendly, comfortable, and perfectly located on Cornell’s campus. The rooms are quiet, clean, the tower room view is breathtaking, and the staff is consistently professional--the convenience cannot be overstated. It feels refined without being stiff. An easy choice every time.

**Disappointing Decline from a Once-Reliable Property** We've been guests at The Statler multiple times over the years and always had positive experiences. Our October 25-26 stay was unfortunately a stark departure from those standards. The problems began with a delayed airport pickup and continued through a disorganized check-in process. When I requested to switch from a queen bed to twin beds, the staff member asked "For the same money?" as though this standard configuration change was an upgrade request. Billing issues were particularly concerning. My credit card was charged twice for incidentals ($50 and $32.50) despite confirming the first transaction was approved. More troubling, my card was compromised shortly after these charges were processed, requiring me to order a replacemen

The Statler is beautifully located centrally on the campus of the gorgeous Cornell University campus. Although staffed by many students, it is a tip-top professional, luxury hotel. It is convenient to anything at the university or in this area of the Finger Lakes, NY. ||The rooms are updated and have everything a traveler could want. Comfortable bed with high end linens, lovely view from our Tower View room,. The bathroom is small but has everything needed including really good lighting, a makeup mirror, nice shower with handheld sprayer also. There is also an in-room safe which is something that is starting to disappear in other hotels.||Nice dining options with an always excellent meal at Taverna Banfi as well as other options including room service dining. ||There is valet parking for g

The Statler hotel is located in Cornell University, which is very convenient for us to visit the campus. Also, the hotel restaurant, Taverna Balfi, serves incredible local and international cuisines. The dishes are delicious and the restaurant environment is comfortable. We experienced the wonderful dining in Taverna Balfi.
