Customer Reviews
Great campsites, very large and private. Easy hiking. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit although we went during a burn ban so we bought a propane fire pit. We got there a wee bit early and they were very nice and let us check in early. Multiple water accesses along the hiking trail. Nice boat ramp with parking for campers.
We camped at Site 18 over a long weekend and really enjoyed our stay. A few things to note if you’re planning a trip here: Site 18 (and other similar sites) is right next to the trail that runs between the campground and the river. This trail can be used by day visitors and hence during busy weekends, you’ll hear foot traffic and conversations during the day. If you prefer more peace and quiet, consider choosing a site further away from the trail. Vault toilets were very clean and well-maintained during our stay — much better than expected. While walking around the campground, you can catch glimpses of Mt. Hood through the trees, but for a full panoramic view, head about 10 minutes on foot from Site 18 toward the outer edge of the campground. There’s a small pier by the lake with a beau
So gorgeous...cedar trees, campsites with short path to lake for kayak launching into beautiful idyllic Trillium Lake with spectacular view of Mt. Hood! Saw magestic bald eagle circling above perch in pines to survey the scene of Portlandia humanity boating below. No fires allowed but did allow propane fire? We brought wood...so no campfire. Does have pit toilets..bring TP as it does not stay stocked. Beautiful camping experience🦋🤟SH
Gorgeous views, rustic campground, lots of people in day use and campground is usually full in the summer. Reserve early. Pit toilets and well pump water.
Nice level campsites, suitable for RVs, with lots of trees and level places for tent camping. There is a nice 2 mile walk around the lake with a clean path and wooden walkways over the marsh areas and spectacular views of Mount Hood. There are lots of birds and chipmunks around and decent fishing as well. I love this place, though I’m very glad I came early in this season as I am sure it gets crazy busy and crowded once the weather warms up.
