Two big problems with Condo #5. The assigned parking space was inaccessible for us, we drive a Honda Passport, mid-sized SUV. There is very little room to maneuver and essentially you have a right angle and have a narrow space as your target. With another noncompact vehicle in the space next to it, there was no way we could use the parking space provided.||||Then we discovered that Government Camp is a town with a significant number of NO PARKING signs. In winter, my guess is that it would be close to impossible to find a place to park overnight.||||Second, Condo #5 windows do not open so even though it was 45 degrees outside at night, the condo itself felt stuffy and warm. The main bedroom downstairs was downright hot.||||The first night we were there, no Internet was available. Msg said

I really wanted to love this place. Out of our 2 week trip to Oregon, I thought this place would be the best because it had 2 bathrooms and the kids would have their own space. Speaking with the reservations department prior to our arrival was a challenge as we were coming in from an area that had no cell service. We were instructed that our key would be in lock box 4 when we arrived. We had no idea were lock box 4 was, no emergency number that could be called and no emailed instructions for check in. Once we arrived at the property we promptly found our parking spot and several doors in from us our spot listed 6, 2, 1, 3, 5…. No number 4! I called Timberline Lodge front desk since they are affiliated with The Lodge at Government Camp. They said the lockbox was next to the door in fron

My husband & I and another couple stayed in Unit 1 & we were just delighted with the huge rooms, washer & dryer unit, and impeccable cleanliness of the unit. We cooked our meals in the fully-equipped kitchen almost every night. If you prefer not to cook, there are plenty of very great restaurants within walking distance of the unit, or simply drive the short distance to Timberline for some fantastic dining at their award-winning restaurant. The rustic furnishings and wall-hangings really create the look & feel of a luxury cabin/condo & the beds were a delight to sink into after a long day of skiing at Mt Hood. Very comfortable, top quality bedding. No shortage of towels, either. Amen to that! Highly recommend this unit while visiting the Mt Hood area.

We stayed in Unit #5 for two nights in July 2019. The unit was spacious for our family of five. Kids liked the bunk house feel of the second floor sleeping area. The unit had a ceiling fan as well as a few portable fans that did a good job keeping the place cool. There was a portable AC in the closet, but we didn't use it. The beds were very comfy, and everything worked. My only issues were: We stayed here counting on the unit having a washer/drier. The washer was fine but the drier took hours to dry. We ended up hanging up clothing to dry. Second was the noise. Unit #5 is in the back, and the windows face the Rathskeller (pub). Across the street is Mountain View (bar). The first night was fine. The second night was very noisy until very late. ||We did use the amenities avail

A mixed review coming, but ultimately I would not recommend nor return. The primary issue is noise and condo layout both of which really impacted enjoyment. ||THE GOOD: ||* for us, the location right in the middle of town was a plus. This is a 3 story large building with the general store and offices on first floor, about 8 condos on the second floor, and some sort of housing on the third floor (small kids who ran around constantly, and it sounded like they were wearing wooden clogs from Holland -not so good).||* the general store on first floor was handy for a few forgotten things, but $$$$$.||* covered reserved parking was nice||* the unit is cute and the sofa and lounger were very nice. ||* the biggest benefit was having the Timberline VIP pass!! Being able to drive up to the resort by
