North Arm (Timothy Lake) Campground

I was up for a day trip to do a little fishing. As I was driving around the lake I saw this campground and thought I'd check it out for future trips. The camp host, or contracted fee collector, or whatever she was, was incredibly rude and short with me. "Camping or day use??!!", I said I just wanted to drive through to see what it was like then immediately exit. NO!! You must pay 10 dollars to enter!! I won't be camping there if I have to pay 10 dollars just to see if I like it or not.

This campground (and all the other campgrounds and day use sites at Timothy Lake) are run in coordination with PGE. They do an amazing job keeping the vault toilets and day use sites clean. The PGE workers we talked to were extremely friendly and helpful. The site host at North Arm, Bruce, was also very welcoming and helpful giving us advice on what to do and answering any questions we had. The sites were well maintained and at least the one we stayed in (13) was pretty large. There were bundles of wood available for $6, we bought two and grabbed some that was left behind from other sites and it was more than enough to last our three nights. There were tons of mosquitoes, so come prepared for those.

I had a great camping trip at North Timothy Lake Campground! The site was peaceful and private, with plenty of trees and shade. The lake was beautiful—perfect for paddle boarding. The campground host was super sweet and helpful, which made the experience even better. The campground was clean, quiet, and well-maintained, with easy access to nearby hiking trails. It was the perfect place to unplug and enjoy nature. I’d definitely camp here again!

Great lake for kayaking, hiking and bird watching.

We love spending time here. I've been coming here since I was a kid. The park is always clean and they have great hosts.
