Travelodge by Wyndham Wytheville

This was our second stay as a halfway point travelling from Florida to Ontario. The price is very good with the included breakfast. Really appreciate that breakfast starts at 6am for getting on the road early. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy. Very quiet for a good night's sleep. Cracker Barrel right next door open until 10pm. This will be our go to place to stop for the night.

Stay away We reserved a room early February and found roaches in our room. I took a sample to the front desk and said we could not stay there. He said he would cancel the room and would refund our payment. After not receiving a refund and complaining the manager claimed the bugs were normal and come into the building in cold weather as if that was somehow acceptable. We never got our refund even after escalating to Wyndham. The rooms are in bad shape, the heaters are ancient window heaters and dont work well enough- nothing good about this place.

Pleasantly surprised. We stayed just for an overnight passing through. |The room was nice and updated and clean. |We were able to walk right down to Cracker Barrel for dinner right next door. |Breakfast was pretty good with several options. |Our only small complaints was that the bed comforter wasn’t very thick. Felt more like a big sheet and the bed was on a metal platform that made noise when we moved. |Other than that everything was good and we’d definitely come back.

The room was tired and dirty. If we hadn’t been traveling for 24 hour we would not have stayed. The bathroom, was horrible. Thread bare towels. The shower did did not drainThe tub floor was squishy.There was white duck tape on the tub walls to cover rust and holes.They had actually painted the shower tile. I know because it was peeling off.Mold and mildew everywhere. The grout was only white in the space behind the stool, the rest was black.

5 🌟 based on it's a great budget stopover stay on our road trip! Staff are excellent, knowledgeable, and friendly. Rooms are safe, clean, huge, and comfortable. Shower is hot and powerful. Quiet night sleep. Beds are comfy. I very liked that they had a TV channel guide in the room -- it's a little thing but makes a big convenience. Breakfast was nice. I've never seen a pancake maker -- fun and the pancakes were tasty! As a diabetic I really appreciate the sugar free syrup. Great coffee, had fruit YUM, yogurt, toast, French toast for the toaster, hard boiled eggs, biscuits and gravy, bagels, cream cheese, muffins, danish, juice, hot and cold cereal, jams, peanut butter, and more. Breakfast is a big step above a continental breakfast. Mountain views are priceless. Easy online check o
