Stony Fork Campground

We enjoyed our stay here. The camp hosts are super friendly and fun to talk to. It was a bit chilly when we stayed and the bathrooms were warm and the shower was nice and hot. This place is about 1 1/2 hours from New River Gorge NP. Cell phone reception was great (GoogleFi). Go check out the hiking trail that's in the campground. It's really pretty. We will definitely be back.

Terry was a wonderful host, great basic campground. Loved all the USA Flags at each campsite 🇺🇸. Hot showers no highway noise and only $20 a night for tent camping. Plenty of small trails around the campsite but nothing terribly exciting to see on them.

We love Stoney Fork camp ground. It has nice semi private camp spots. There are fire pits, and picnic tables at every site surrounded by woods. It's quite, there are full hook up sites and primitive sites. This past trip we booked a primitive site. We stopped near the dump station coming in and used the fresh water to fill up our fresh tank. We had a generator that we used to keep our batteries charged with no issues. The road is paved and they have several hiking trails around. The wild roses were blooming and they smelled amazing! We have been camping here for 6 plus years. I love the location and peaceful atmosphere. It's quite and sites are secluded. The showers need updating and regular maintenance seems to be an issue. They are clean thanks to the amazing hosts. The road is overgrown both side to side and overhead, needs a good trim. Be careful as branches will scrape the top of your camper. The 30 amp electrical needs some update as well. I have had to move several times over the last 2 years to find a site where the electric works correctly. An update and a little TLC would work wonders!!!

This is a beautiful campground with paved road and sites. There is plenty of privacy between sites. The campground hosts, Kim, Joe, and Roger are wonderful, and are available to answer questions or assist any way they can. The picnic table at our site was in need of repair, but other than that, it's a wonderful campground.
