Travelodge by Wyndham Lake George NY

I feel 50/50 on this one. I booked my three day/two night trip last minute and am on a budget so this was the most reasonable hotel I could find. The location was good. Everything is right nearby, including I-87, yet it's nice & quiet there. The pool is beautiful and has great views! AC worked great! The man at the desk was very nice and even went to the room with me to make sure it was acceptable. However; the room needs a serious remodel! Bed & pillows were a little uncomfortable. Fridge didn't work properly. They need to re-pave the driveway & lot. Huge potholes! Also; there's no visible, light-up signage so the entrance is very hard to see! Especially at night on a 45 MPH road. There is no complimentary breakfast either. May or may not stay here again next Summer.

Positive: It is a budget motel. The room was fine and it was quiet but the website was misleading on features offered. It was not the worst place or the best place we have ever been. The staff was the best part of the experience. Negative: The website was not up to date. The recipe had the wrong phone number. Said the office was staffed 24 hours and it was not. My man and I decided to take an over night trip and found this establishment easily and perfect for our stay. The staff was welcoming and attentive. The room was large and comfortable with the comfort that we needed for a quick getaway. We were able to settle in, relax and get a good nights sleep. There was everything the online booking stated including the affordable price. We would definitely return in the future!

Terrible place. Run down filthy rooms. Terrible beds with old sheets and blankets. Many things broken or unmaintained. No microwave or coffee makers in rooms (first hotel I've been in in 30 years without these amenities), 830am, no one in front office and door was locked. Paper thin walls with no sound proofing. Run down property up on a hillside that is not very walkable or near anything. Randomly choose another hotel and you will find one better. The place should be shut down.

The owner/manager is very difficult to deal with. I booked two rooms through expedia.com , when I checked in they could only find one room this was because the second was under the second adult in my party's name..they couldn't find it I needed a second room I paid CASH .this was my first mistake. They charged me for both rooms on my card and took my cash. I have been trying to get reimbursed for the over payment. Before I checked out I showed them the charged and they say they only charged me once but it is very clearly charged and taken out of my account. I have called expedia and the hotel multiple times they continue to blame each other and tell me to reach out the the other one.
