Travelodge by Wyndham Big Bear Lake CA

The room was clean and comfortable, but the ice bucket was filthy and had no liner. I had to get a clean bucket and liner from the front desk. The internet is horrible! Don't plan on streaming any videos or doing any work in your room. ||The beds are very comfortable! And the refrigerators are nice and cold! I actually had to turn my fridge down...which, to me is good!||Also, they offer breakfast on the website, but no breakfast is available....so plan accordingly.

Friendly staff! Hotel is in progress of renovation. Definitely areas they can improve. Do it right and they will have a FULL HOUSE "every" night... They are moving in the right direction. The room was clean & had new mattresses. I would recommend changing things around in the reception area. The last thing guests want to see at the front door of the lobby is a refrigerator.. extra lamps.. etc... You only get 1 chance with a 1st impression. I would stay here again! Curious to see the progress..

I am not sure why all of the negative reviews. I mean what type of accommodation do you expect for $70 bucks a night. It's a basic hotel....nothing fancy. The Asian lady in the front office was very nice. Easy check in process. We stayed one night before getting back on the road headed back to Los Angeles after a beautiful 4th of July celebration at Big Bear Lake. The room was clean, smelled pleasant, tv worked, microwave and refrigerator worked and had great shower pressure. Overall we had a great stay and would stay again.

Staff is nice enough, The room looked clean but if you looked hard enough you realize they barely clean. Furniture is in pretty bad shape and the shower was all but broken. The breakfast felt even more lacking than normal continental breakfasts. The stay wasn't terrible though and for a tourist area the rooms were fairly priced. Definitely on the low end and not for those looking for luxury.

I reserved a guestroom with 2 queen beds online. I had already stayed in an Air bnb and wanted the luxury of a hotel room with all the amenities but I was disappointed in the cleanliness and lack of preparation at this location. Room did not appear to be cleaned recently and the building was being painted so there was tape, paper and plastic at the entrance of my room that I assumed would be removed upon check in but it was still there after I checked out. Staff was friendly and helpful when my room key did not work they offered another one and it worked immediately. Doors, floors and surfaces were not sanitized prior to check in. I don't mind painting or renovations being done while I stay but I would have appreciated a warning when I made the reservation. Big Bear is a beautiful place al
