TownePlace Suites by Marriott Salt Lake City Downtown

The hotel is downtown and when we checked in we had to pull into the loading zone on the busy street. The parking was around the block in the back and was pretty sketchy after dark. We were worried about our car the whole night. There are only a few spots to park as well. The beds were horrible! Super hard and uncomfortable. There was no pool either which was disappointing. The bathroom was nice. It’s also nice to have the kitchen setup in the room. They serve a really good breakfast, too. The eggs were delicious! Usually at hotels the eggs aren’t seasoned at all, but these eggs were perfectly seasoned and cooked well. They also have do it yourself waffle makers which is always yummy. If you like hard beds, don’t need a pool, and don’t have to park a car this hotel is fine. I wouldn’t come

I booked via the Marriott app, read a lot of good reviews. However, once I saw the lack of parking, and the outsourcing of parking to a parking garage, off site and adjacent to the property, I was disappointed. You have to pull into property to get a parking pass, then drive around the block to park. Then, park in the 3rd floor, to only carry your luggage and belongings down a flight of stairs that are fixed to the exterior of the parking garage. No elevator. No security. Just horrible lack of convenience which I wish had been described better via app.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the townplace suites for 3 nights in November and were pleasantly surprised at how nice and accommodating it was!! Orion at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. They have a clean workout area/gym with free weights and treadmills. It is walkable to trax, coffee shops, the delta center, and shopping! We rented a car, but staying here, you certainly don’t need to! 10/10 experience here!

This hotel is in a very poor location of Downtown Salt Lake City. It is surrounded by bars and night clubs that you hear the music of all night long. You don’t not feel safe on the streets or parking your car leaving it over night. My vehicle was parked in the public parking garage, which I had to pay the hotel to park in, for one night and during that night it had the catalytic converter cut off and stolen. My truck was brand new had it less then 2 months and now it is going to take at least 6 months to have it fixed! I do not recommend anyone staying here at this hotel! They need to fix their parking and make it safe for their customers who stay at the hotel! The hotel and the public parking garage didn’t care that this happened and doesn’t have anyone who monitors the parking garage at

We stay here every October when we come to Salt Lake for Blade Show. The staff is always super friendly. Rooms are always clean, it’s conveniently located next to great restaurants the convention center and everything downtown. Great Basic breakfast Ron to go in the morning and again a super friendly staff. We will continue to stay here every year.
