TownePlace Suites by Marriott Pueblo Downtown

So, I’ve now stayed at all 3 Marriotts on this downtown block. While this hotel came with absolutely zero frills, the room was up-to-date on the first floor and very quiet. Less parking than the other 2 Marriotts, but if the price happens to be right, it’s easily as nice as the other two. No pool (that I noticed?), which I think is kind of weird when it was more expensive than SpringHill… which has a great pool. Out of the 3 downtown, follow the best price available, because I had the best experience here and the best room, while other amenities were noticeably missing.

The hotel is well maintained and the staff friendly and efficient. The location is a bit rough. Regular security service patrols the property every 15 minutes as the vagrant population is extensive. Walking around the grounds outside is not advisable.

I have stayed here multiple times and while the first time was great, every subsequent time has been worse. Frankly, I don't think I'll ever stay here again. The first time I stayed, I was greeted and thanked for being Platinum, upgraded to a corner bedroom suite, suite was on the top floor which is listed in my preferences and has been for 20 years, everything smelled like brand new construction. While the rooms are the most updated of the 3 Marriotts in Pueblo, the lack of customer service is what will never bring me back. Last time I stayed here a few months ago, no recognition for being Platinum, no upgrade, okay... fine, not the end of the world, I'll live, front desk younger gentleman seemed like he literally could not have cared ANY less about doing his job or customer satisfaction,

Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast. Only thing I would upgrade is the shower head, but everything was as advertised. Just a half block from the historic Riverwalk.

Ac broken. Toilet didn't work. Power outage knocked out the Wi-Fi for 2 days. My room didn't get cleaned all week. The first time I saw the cleaning crew was an hour before checkout when they barged in on me naked, Even though I had the "Do not disturb" sync in the door. Awful experience.
