Customer Reviews
Best location out of the 3 downtown, as the convention center is attached and you can easily walk through there or around to reach Riverwalk for Brue’s and other restaurants. The view from the upper level rooms is actually quite nice when facing South, but rooms felt the most out-of-date at this hotel out of the 3. Each property has its tradeoffs. Price shop and consider the reason for your stay. I do remember that the windows in our high floor room felt quite sketchy.
The room was dirty. Dirty spots on comforters, desk chair, door, corners and floors. The bathroom shower had a huge crack in the wall that was patched but gross. The sink didn’t drain well and the toilet didn’t flush well. The beds were old and not comfortable. The refrigerator worked but was old and leaked water. The plus was the sheets looked clean and the pillows were nice. The front desk staff was wonderful and nice. The hotel looked like they were remodeling and trying to update but at the rate we paid for our room I expected more than Super 8 quality.
Rooms were ok. only issue was that the heat thermostat wasnt working and the room was too hot The Bistro had the usual issue. The hard working lady was a one-man- show and wait time times were long. On top there was a renovation in progress and hardly any space to sit down. Check-in was chaotic as well. they were simply understaffed. otherwise a nice hotel once the renovation has been completed.
Chose this Marriott out of the three downtown to stay at since it was the furthest away from I-25 and potential interstate noise. It was “ok”. Staff was very friendly. Renovations were going on, however, we were on the 7th floor and arrived later in the day and left early in the morning so that did not affect us. Our room was average. AC did work and we had two queen beds. Bathroom needed a better cleaning from prior guests and bathroom towels should have been recycled. Lots of stains on towels that made them feel dirty. Shower head needed replacement. Toilet felt like at any moment it was going to need a plunger and maintenance help. There was a short burst of late night traffic racing which is basically a thing along I-25 (Santa Fe, Albuquerque, etc). Hotel was within minutes o
Positive: The breakfast was good and the attendant was paying attention. She refilled the bagels. Negative: 1. The refrigerator in the room made enough noise to wake me up twice. 2. The bathroom sink drain stopper did not work right so the sink drained only very slowly. 3. The shower door tracks and shower drain were dirty.
