TownePlace Suites by Marriott Lubbock

Positive: It seems like a newer property. Negative: Many repair issues that were never addressed upon reporting. There were huge footprints stained on the carpet. The staff charged me for the room even though I prepaid, and it took multiple discussions with front desk staff to finally get it resolved.

We stayed here for four nights in early January. Staff were friendly and helpful, but even that won’t get us to stay here again. Room one did not have any toilet paper, a full set of towels, nor a functioning TV when we checked in. All resolved that night, but it took a few trips to get the TV running. Walls are super thin. When a family of six checked in and were in the room next to us, it was almost as if we were all in one room together. We moved to another room, facing the freeway. Which meant you could hear all the road noise. And when another family moved in next to this new room, we could hear all their movements and muddled conversations. The staff were amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Accommodated all our needs with a genuine small. The beds were the worst I've ever slept on. The living space with sofa and kitchen area were small and out dated. Too small for a two bedroom suite. The price was too high considering the size of the living space, tiny bathroom and of course the terrible mattresses. I would consider staying again for myself only in a single room if the beds were updated but only because the staff were great. Otherwise I will not stay again. There are better more comfortable hotels in Lubbock.

I had a great stay at TownePlace Suites in Lubbock, Texas. The customer service was outstanding—friendly, helpful, and welcoming from start to finish. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax after a long day. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety to choose from. Overall, a great experience, and I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this hotel. I had a reservation booked for 7 months, only to have it abruptly cancelled without proper explanation or warning. The communication from the hotel was severely lacking—they didn’t reach out proactively or offer any kind of valid solution until I repeatedly followed up and pushed for answers. This level of service is completely unacceptable, especially for guests who plan their trips well in advance. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for reliability or professionalism.
