TownePlace Suites by Marriott Lancaster

I experienced too many issues with the hotel on this trip. I reserved two rooms. First I was charged for two rooms by Booking.com then I was charged for an additional room by TownPlace Suites for a total of three rooms. Today I received a call from Jessica at the front desk advising they forgot to charge me for incidentals and I needed to pay an additional $40 (20/ea for two rooms). She said her manager informed her of this. I asked to speak to her manager. Of course, the manager is not here. I swiped my card to pay the additional $40. So now I am short $370 (additional room) + $40 (incidentals) =$410.00 extra hold on my account. This is not a good look on the hotel. What a way to start my Thanksgiving holiday.

Positive: staff was friendly and very outgoing. Negative: I was not able to check in early. I arrived in the area at 8am and had to wait until 4pm to check in. When i arrived, i asked for extra pillows and they had none. Our room was right next to the boiler room which was very loud but we got use to that.

Good pricing cause of my discount, the over night lady and security are nice. But the day shift is horrible, I asked 3 times for them to come and fix our TVs Internet. Once on the phone twice in person. Never got it fixed doesn’t even seem to look like they came into the room to check. Like if you can’t fix it offer a new room or something. Management needs to make sure their employees are properly trained for guest services. (Speaking from personal experience in this industry) one of the worst Marriott hotel experiences.

Our family of four enjoyed our night in this hotel. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Our room was spacious and clean and had a full kitchen. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night! If you stay here, we can highly recommend having dinner at the Sushi place across the street of this hotel. We also enjoyed the musical road in Lancaster. We used the hotel's washing machines which worked fine.||We used the back entrance which might actually be the front entrance? Breakfast offered a wide selection of cereals, fruits, and healthy options, including oat milk for your coffee. We would definitely stay here again.

My mom came into town and placed a reservation here at TownPlace. She stays here every time she comes into town. She loved the hotel up until this trip where they placed her in their sister location, Fairfield Inn. This is so disappointing due to the horrible and humid indoor pool the Fairfield Inn has. My mom always looks forward to being out in the sun at the pool when she stays here, but this time she doesn’t get that luxury since they put her in the other hotel and not the one she actually booked with. Their excuse was that they are both technically the same hotel because they are under the same hotel chain (Marriott). My mom even asked if she could at least use the other hotels pool since she had booked with that one and they refused to let her use it. So much for it being “the same h
