TownePlace Suites by Marriott Indianapolis Downtown

I was pleasantly surprised that this hotel exceeded expectations for a great stay. Came Here for a conference and the last time that I was in Indy, I went to the residence inn but didn’t like it. I looked at reviews for Towneplace and they seemed good enough. The rooms are very clean and comfortable beds. The pillows are too soft for my Preferences but I was able to firm them up with a sofa pillow underneath one. Anytime I needed anything the staff went above and beyond to go find it if it wasn’t readily available at the front desk. I asked For the most quiet room and got Exactly what I wanted. If I come back for work I will definitely stay here! Thank you so much!

I've stayed here 2x in the past year. |The hotel is fine. Rooms are a little worn but comfortable, the front desk personnel was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious and well maintained. Why the 1 star? The parking. They have a hotel lot across the street and a hotel parking garage. Both options are poorly designed and an awful situation for guests. | You can't turn into the garage in the building from the hotel drive. We tried and scraped the side of our car.|Then the 2nd visit we parked in the hotel lot across the street. WE WERE COMPLETELY BLOCKED IN when we tried to leave in the morning. The layout of the parking spots is too tight the way they are painted. We couldn't leave being blocked in from behind and had to drive over the grass and sidewalk to get out of the lot. Ridi

Do not trust that any items you leave out or behind will be returned to you. I realized on the same day I checked out that I left a treasured necklace made for me by my father in room 502. I returned to the hotel to see if I could retrieve my item that same afternoon. My room had already been cleaned, and no missing item had been turned in to lost and found. Michaela, the front desk person on staff went up to my room to look to see if the necklace, which was a large stone pendant and impossible to miss, had slipped between furniture or under something, and she could not find it. I wanted to file a police report for my item being stolen instead of turned in, but staff encouraged me that it might be tangled up in the laundry and to wait to file a police report. I would have given five stars if the room was clean. Our first room was on the second floor 210 I believe and we found stains on the sheets, hair and what look like bodily fluids on the bed skirt. Some of the towels in the bathroom even had stains on them. Abigail was working front desk and was able to accommodate us immediately to a new room 410 which was much better but still had some flaws. Two nights 3 days was approximately $489.00. The location is pretty amazing for where it is, especially if you're going to a game at Lucas oil stadium. We were able to walk all over the city from where the Marriott is located as well. Historic Slippery Noodle is just a few minutes away.
