TownePlace Suites by Marriott Harrisburg Hershey

I was there for 3 months. Everyone talks about the walls needing to be soundproof...Its perfectly fine Monday thru Friday and most weekends. The problem isn't the lack of soundproofing, its because of unruly children with parents who don't care about how their kids behavior effects everyone else. That's the ONLY problem here. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping supervisor is on-point, and deserves her own shout out. ☺️ Even the kitchen staff would acknowledge me with a "Good morning," when I was walking out the door every morning at 5am. The property is clean, staff are friendly, and the area is safe. Internet is reliable, elevators always working, excellent water pressure for showers. I would definitely stay here again as well as recommended to any traveler.

Not staying here again... I've stayed here with my family (2 toddlers and partner) twice to visit family in the area. The price isn't bad, but neither trip has been extremely pleasant. On the most recent trip (December 2025), the hotel was seriously understaffed. There was a broken lamp in our hotel room. At breakfast on Sunday morning, there was no coffee available, and no one to ask to get coffee. Rooms are a bit tired and worn. There was a large damaged area on our bedroom wall where the door opened up. We ended up checking out a night early because of illness. But worst of all — we were charged $8.20 for parking for two nights! I don't recall seeing anywhere in the reservation or check-in process that there was a parking fee (in fact, they never collected any information at check-in

The good:|-Convenient location|-Room was clean (good job housekeeping)!|-Bed was comfortable and room had been updated||The not as good:|-Hallways were not clean. Lots of trash on the floor.|-Breakfast area was not clean. I came down in the middle of the service time, and it was gross. Food all over the counters. Cereal dispenser looked like it hadn’t been cleaned ever- just refilled. Coffee area also dirty… no creamer….small bottle of milk from the breakfast area on the counter unrefrigerated. |-We stayed 2 nights and I knew there was no housekeeping per se, but maybe the trash in the room could have been emptied? ||Overall, OK. I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay again with so many other options in the area.

Hotel and rooms were good. Service was exceptional. Special shout out to David Williams, the maintenance engineer and the manager Megan. With an unexpected snowstorm overnight, they went above and beyond to help us get our car unstuck and get to our event on time. Truly appreciate their support!

An unassuming but decent hotel in Harrisburg. Super friendly staff, decent location. Not quite in walking distance to food other than a WAWA, but only a 90 second drive from a mall and some other stuff. Rooms were clean, Pull-out was a little stiff but not the worst I've had. Free breakfast in the morning was super solid.
