TownePlace Suites by Marriott Atlanta Buckhead

My friends and I booked this hotel and the rooms and service were terrible. When we entered our suite, there was an open white paint bucket and roller on the table, a coat on a chair, and a bedsheet being used as a drop cloth for a paint spot on the wall—clearly unfinished work left in the room. The smell of fresh paint also raised concerns about paint fumes. None of the room phones worked, so we had to go to the front desk. The receptionist cursed at a staff member for not cleaning it up, then went upstairs herself and spent about 10 minutes trying to clean the room, only to tell us to go back to the same suite. When we confronted her again, she dismissed us and said there were no other rooms available—until we threatened to leave, at which point she “suddenly” had another room available.

My husband and I have been guests here due to a Kidney Transplant, which I'm proud to share, my husband is my donor.|We've been here for about three weeks. The hotel itself needs a Makeover, but it's comfortable. |Now to my complaint : Yesterday, October 27, 2025. I witnessed Racial Profiling from a Hispanic vs an African American in the breakfast area by an employee of this location. Right at 9:00 am, she starts to remove the breakfast food, even though there were guests trying to get something to eat. She removed the syrup while a Black guy was holding a waffle in his hand. She closed the door to where the water, milk, butter, etc were kept. Then she locked the Juice dispenser.|Next was mind blowing. A Black Lady was attempting to get a bottle of water, the breakfast employee told her

Pleasant staff and good location, the target across the street is convenient. We would not return though as our room was just loud. Every noise, from opening doors in the hallway to the footsteps above us sounded like it was in our room. The road noise from the highway was also loud, even though our room was on the side of the building not facing it. A little soundproofing would have made a huge difference. Also only one chair for the main/eating table, which was odd for a 2 bedroom. The hotel was clean and we appreciated the key card required/locked front entrance. The property could use an update but everything worked and was clean. Mattresses were in good shape.

The location of this TownePlace Suites was perfect, just off of I-85 with close proximity to downtown Atlanta. The staff was pleasant, hot breakfast was very nice, and the room was comfortable. I especially appreciated that the hotel has a private parking garage and didn't charge extra onsite parking fees. In fact, that was a major determining factor when I chose this hotel. Great experience and highly recommended!!

This hotel is so gross. I walked in through a plume of cigarette smoke and was not greeted. The host stand is tiny, there is no bar. There is a small area with unhealthy snacks for sale. The lobby smells like smoke. The whole place feels like a motel 6. It’s noisy inside - like the fans need to be tightened, furniture needs to be replaced, even the credit card offer on the table in the hotel room looks like it’s been through a lot. The room just smells dirty. No bottled water or amenities. There is a sign pointing to spa but you have to figure where and what it is on your own (it’s an outdoor hot tub). They share a pool and gym with the holiday inn express across the parking lot, if that says anything. They apparently offer free washer and dryers but if it’s the same quality as everything
