Town and Country Resort

We recently booked two rooms for the New Year's experience with my kids and their friends. Everyone had so much fun and loved all the activities the resort planned. We had kids from 6 - 12 years old, and everyone was having a great time with no complaints. The front desk staff was extremely helpful during our stay, especially Mirna, who ensured we were satisfied and having a good time. She went above and beyond for my family, ensuring our birthday girl was also thought of by the resort staff, doing a little extra special experience for her. The restaurants had really good food, and their staff were also very nice. All the resort staff I encountered were very hospitable, helpful, and polite. The property is very nice and well-kept. Great place to stay! Centrally located 10-15 minutes to the different areas of San Diego. Firepits, sand court, pools, waterslide, and more! We stayed in a spacious tower room a stone's throw from the trolley system (behind the hotel) and mall. The room had a great view of the pool area from the balcony. The rooms are older but updated. I gave the room only four stars due to the fact that you can feel the draft coming through so we had to keep the heater going. Also, our balcony slider would not lock, but they did send maintenance to fix it at 10 p.m. as we weren't comfortable sleeping with it unlocked. Would definitely stay again!

Jessica at the front desk was amazing and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. All of the staff was professional, kind, and helpful. The amenities were awesome and our kids loved the pool. The drinks and food were also pretty decent for "hotel food". The room was okay, but comfortable and provided a place to rest after a fun day at the resort. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would consider coming here again.

Positive: The swimming pool. Negative: The room had an exterior door. I did not like the hollow core door because it let too much sound through. The bathroom was very small and had very little counter space. Upon check-in, I was presented with a mandatory $30 per night hotel service fee.

The retro theme throughout the resort gives it a fun, colorful look, and some of the decorations almost feel cartoonish in a way that makes them perfect for taking pictures.
