Tilton Inn

I found the Tilton Inn while browsing more economical yet hopefully cute and fun options in the area, and have been delighted with the find. Only after had figured I’d stay here and was looking at the room options on their site did I realize it has a paranormal history. Sadly, I did not meet any of the other “inhabitants” during my quick overnight stay. Even after I played Flogging Molly’s “Laura” for the 12-year-old Laura who is said to reside here. (But I know that this room isn’t known for special activity. 🤷🏻‍♂️) If I’m back in the area, I will definitely stay here again!

The inn itself is charming and the room was clean and comfortable—huge shoutout to the housekeeping staff who clearly take pride in their work. However, my overall experience was completely soured by the unbelievably unprofessional front desk service. Check-in was a disaster. The man at the front desk spent more time on the phone with (what sounded like) his wife, making odd and presumptive comments about me—while I was standing right there. It took over 30 minutes just to get my room key. Unfortunately, check-out was no better—another 30 minutes wasted on what should’ve been a simple process. To make matters worse, I was asked to write down my credit card number on a piece of paper because their system was down. Absolutely not. That is a huge security concern and incredibly inappropriat

The accommodations exceed our expectations! Phenomenal staff, who go above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay! Allan went out of his way to ship a package for us. Class act! We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the Onions Pub. The food was amazing!! I look forward to my return for the 2025 Bike Week. I highly recommend the Tilton Inn which is a short ride to the lakes region.

We visited this charming hotel for a brief visit, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a classic inn, and like stepping back in time... but with most of today's conveniences. The location is great, in a fun, small town near enough the highways to be easy to visit, but far enough away to feel as if you've stumbled upon a hidden gem. We remembered this hotel being featured on the old TV series, Ghost Hunters, but can't say we personally encountered anything eerie. Oh, the ambience is very "old-time luxury inn," but with all the niceties we expect in an up-to-date hotel. We especially like strolling along Tilton's main street, exploring the many small shops. This hotel is also near the classic Tilt'n Diner, with retro styling and delicious food. This hotel is a perfect place to spend a night

I enjoyed a pleasant 3 night stay at the Tilton Inn while attending a camp at Highland Mountain Bike Park. I was greeted by Kathy would made me feel right at home. The Inn is quaint. The room was nicer than I had anticipated; bright and charming. The bed was sufficiently comfortable. Renovations are needed in a few areas, which apparently are under way. There was no easily accessible plug next to the night stand for me to plug my items in. The bathroom was clean but could use some updating. I really enjoyed relaxing on a rocker on the large balcony that overlooks the Main Street in town and found myself up there an hour or two every evening. All in all in was a delightful stay and with a few updates this place would be a true gem.
