Thunderstik Lodge

I have been on other pheasant hunts in SD and this was by far my favorite. Our guide Ray did an amazing job not only getting us on birds but in coaching us. We stayed in one of the Rooster Ridge buildings and it was clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for a bunch of old guys to hang out and get caught up. The food was great and plentiful and house keeping came by daily. Next years trip has all ready been booked!

This place has at all. We went on a snowy October weekend. It was cold and very windy, despite that we had very good hunting. Our guide was very knowledgeable. He was very patient as we had some green hunters in our group. The dogs were amazing. The trap range was also very good both for practice and weapons familiar ization. The rooms are decent. They are on par with a holiday inn express or the like. All rooms had 2 bedrooms with 2 beds each and 2 bathrooms and a common living area. They were comfortable. Quiet. Clean. Beautiful views of the Missouri river from the rooms.||All the staff is very helpful and go out of the way to make sure you have a great experience. The meals were delicious. The bar has a great beer selection and top shelf spirits especially a lot of decent

Incredible hunting, food, and lodging. Jay was our guide and had us on birds the whole time. Overall great experience.

Everything about our hunt was great. The facility, our guide (Jay), the staff at the main lodge even though we didn’t stay there and the house we stayed in were excellent. Each day after we limited out our guide showed us the local sights and history of the area. It was more than just killing birds. Our group will definitely return.

Recently returned from a week at Thunderstik Lodge and found the entire experience well above expectations. This was my first Pheasant hunt, our guide Todd and his dogs were amazing. He was very knowledgeable and made sure we had our limit everyday. The process they have perfected was clear and the whole operation ran extremely smooth. The Lodge, food, and experience was top notch. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the food was great and very plentiful. Already looking to book for next year as the 4 of us had nothing negative to say at all.
