Thunderbird Motel

I've stayed here long term and appreciate how attentive the staff is to ones needs. The new owner attends to maintenance issues quickly, and is on hand daily to handle any issues that may arise. The previous owner did little but collect money and let the place run down, the new owner is working hard to reverse that. I've never yet seen a roach not a bedbug here. It was clean and comfortable when I got here.

My room was clean and had everything I need for a very affordable rate and was close to the pennisula and waldameer park. Can go wrong.

Just don't go there! Rooms are dirty. Wouldn't refund my money. The owner was extremely rude. Had to call police department to get some of my money back. The room he gave me, the bed was broken down, roaches on the walls. Lifted the mattress to find bedbugs. When brought to the owners attention, he tried to say I brought them! No coffee pot, no fridge. The man actually made me cry with how ride he was. Just don't go here.

I have to give 5 stars not because the mobile homes or rooms are the best, but because they're good in my opinion the price is steep(just my opinion) but doable for most! But the main thing is the owner and staff are there as soon as you need them and they work closely with you with everything! Thank you Lou and everyone else! You've made the stay here worth every penny! Also you're very close to beautiful Lake Erie!!

This place sucked!!! Absolutely falling apart. Not worth $20 a night. I would of rather slept at a bus stop. There is NO free breakfast, the cable sucked and it was completely filthy. I wouldn't let my dog sleep there. Don't believe me check out room 7. It came with 1 towel that we had to share. Walking on bathroom floor it felt like it would cave it. Completely rotted. Paneling coming off wall, ceiling with cracks. 😡😡
