Courtyard by Marriott Erie Ambassador Conference Center

Great location. Stayed there around the holidays but when we checked into our 2 room reservation. The first room was ready and they gave us the keys to the other one so we went up and moved in while the other was being prepared. 5 Hours later they finally notified us that it would not be ready so they moved us. When we got into our other two rooms we quickly noticed that the water was not running hot in the sink nor shower. The other room was still dirty and hadn't been cleaned. We notified them and got another room after they came up and tested it. They did not give us any other rooms so we asked for a refund and after some talking they agreed to it but never actually sent it or reversed the funds for one of the nights like we agreed upon.

My husband & I took advantage of a work trip to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We got a sitter and booked a king with jet tub. We ordered takeout but but because it was so late it went straight to the fridge. I opened the fridge to find it was running but warmer than the temperature of the room. Immediately running to the front desk, we were told 15 minutes until maintenance would come have a look. We went back to the front desk to check on maintenance’s arrival several times, but at 11:30pm, after 2 full hours we were told, “I can only call him, but I can not make him come up there.” Meanwhile romance has been out the window because we were expecting a service person that never came. We were passing through Erie during our road trip and we're forced to hunker down for the night due to a nor-easter. We walked into a dark Courtyard seeking a room for the night. They had lost power but that did not stop them. They broke out pen and form and manually checked us in, found us a large room to accommodate our party (2 adults, 2 kids, and 2 dogs) and just generally did their best to make us feel comfortable despite the circumstances. They were very professional and hospitable considering and in spite of the circumstances. As for subcategories: The room could have used a bit of maintenance but was generally quite cozy. The service, as already stated, was incredible. And the location was quite cool. We hadn't ever thought of Erie as a road trip pitstop but we're thinking of

Room service was non existent even when asked for at the front desk. We stayed for three days and no one gave us towels or changed our bed, must less made it. Trash cans were not emptied. Again, we requested service the second day and did not receive any service. The food at the so called bistro was average at best. Coffee is not available until 7am even though the woman who ran the bistro was talking at the front desk and saw me waiting at approximately 6:50am. The level of service for us was not acceptable. My wife is a member of your so called rewards program.
