Thronson's Motel

Cute little motel on the east side of GNP. It’s only 20 minute drive to Saint Mary’s visitor center. The general store is well stocked and has lots of food. There’s a cafe and a gas pump across the street. The rooms were nice and the bed was so comfortable, feel asleep right away. The management was very friendly, provided us a kettle on request. There’s a fridge but no microwave.

What a delightful experience staying here was! The staff was friendly and the room had many positives. The location was perfect for accessing Many Glacier (although we never could secure shuttle tickets … sad), but we used it to get to the Belly River area and St Mary’s entrance.||The room was well sized, with a comfortable bed, a fridge/freezer, a good sized shower stall, and a chair on the motel’s breezeway. The bedding was comfortable, felt clean, and staff provided extra pillows and towels on request. Housekeeping was very kind as well.||The office staff, at the general store, were helpful and friendly! Pride of ownership is apparent in this older property. Very clean, some updates in rooms, flowers everywhere, and the nicest people. It’s a great option for a 1-2 night stay if you can live without WiFi (it’s bad) and just sleep here as the room has no comfortable chair or sofa, just a few kitchen type chairs and bed(s). It was quiet and comfortable.

I've stayed in many motels, and most don’t live up to expectations—but not this one. Thronson's is a clean, well-equipped motel with easy access to Glacier National Park. The owner is kind and welcoming, and we even had daily room service, which was such a treat to return to after a long day. The room rates are also very affordable compared to other accommodations in the area. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay in this motel. The room was very clean and cozy, very comfortable bed. Great value! After hours check-in was very easy. And the location is awesome!
