The Y On Broadway

The rooms are clean and spacious, the staff is genuinely kind and helpful. Everyone was wonderful. We had a snow storm and came out to meet the owner who was shoveling all around of our cars to help us out. The woman who took care of breakfast had everything neat and clean. Food was incredible. Drinks at the bar were served by a super friendly bartender who told us that she loved her job. The fireplace is cozy. They have quiet time from 10pm to 8am for a comfortable good night sleep. My only suggestion is to bring a fan or a white noise machine as the floors are hardwood and you can hear foot steps. We always sleep with a fan so it was no bother. Highly recommended for a stay in Jim Thorpe. My husband and I will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our stay at The Y on Broadway, a unique hotel set inside a historic former YMCA home to the oldest basketball court in the United States, which adds real character and charm to the property. The rooms are updated, spacious, and very clean, and the hotel itself is exceptionally quiet, which made for a relaxing stay. The lobby is lovely, especially the fireplace area, which is a cozy and welcoming spot to unwind. A few areas could use improvement. The shower water pressure is quite weak, and adding more pressure along with a handheld showerhead would make a big difference. The café food is just okay nothing standout but the price point makes it acceptable. A wider selection of wines would also be a welcome upgrade. That said, the staff truly shines. This was our first trip to Jim Thorpe and I searched for a hotel with a good location, good ratings and in our price range,The Y met all of our needs:) We checked in early Beth(?)!was great with letting us know what was open and where to eat. It’s the middle of Winter and midweek so a bunch of stores were closed, but we had no problem finding g food.We brought my mobility assist service dog and they were great with her. Our room was absolutely beautiful! Room 302 top floor facing the street I was going n love with the amazing architecture of the buildings across from us! . Despite being on the main drag it was very quiet! Everything including the windows are new as it was just remodeled, beautiful lvp was throughout the room as well. If I had one recommendation, put the beds down lower! I’

Perfect spot! Hotel is beautiful, includes continental breakfast and they have a little bar off the lobby! Rooms are great, clean and comfortable, bed was very comfy. Everything is walking distance. We had 10 ladies for girls weekend and we had a wonderful stay at the Y!!!

This was our first time staying here and we would love to come back! We had a great view of Race Street from our window! The ice machine was conveniently located outside our room door! The beds were super comfortable and it was a quiet atmosphere.
