Cool place to stay in fells point. Recently remodel. Manager there onahle is the best! She made my stay so comfortable like good ole southern hospitality. Hotel is great, food even better. Staff is so nice and goes up and beyond to make your stay better! Keep up the great works guys!
Positive: The location, the quality of the hotel, and the room was great. Negative: The bathroom door wouldn't shut, room phone didn't work, and the hotel restaurant breakfast wasn't good. I reported the room issues, the breakfast we ordered we sent back and didn't eat because food didn't look or taste good
Disappointing. For $623 (base rate, taxes, overnight valet), room was tiny, weird small stair cases throughout the floor. Lighting was poor, no overhead light and could barely see to pack/unpack. No conditioner in shower. Turned on AC for stuffy room and it did not seem to do anything. Bottom line - perfectly shiny on outside but problem with basics. That said, staff members who helped me were wonderful.
Very nice place, historical building with nice upgrades. The bed was pretty firm, so if you're used to that and like it, you will sleep great. The door to our bathroom was warped and wouldn't close all the way, but it wasn't a huge deal for us. The beds had white sheets that were nice, both on top of the cover and under it, so there was no feeling of skeeviness about germs. The people in the front desk areas were very helpful and friendly. The valet price was pretty steep, but there was no other real option for parking and everything we wanted to go to was walkable so it worked out fine.
Nick took great care of us and coordinated our stay in a very unique room with a balcony and view. You simply can't be the location for exploring Fells Point. The hotel's history is amazing and makes it a must stay for history buffs. There are some basic details that are still being worked through with the recent renovation and some of the older elements like the HVAC controls leave something to be desired, but overall it was a great experience. Bathrooms are small due to the historic nature of the property, but well appointed with great water pressure. Bartender Steve at the tavern in the basement was slow to serve, but kind and clearly has worked at the establishment for quite some time. There was a mistake with not receiving my food and beverage credit towards my bar tab, but I'm hoping
