The Westin Reston Heights

This is not a hockey friendly hotel. The employees at the front desk and bar were extremely nice and kind. Meghan who manages the contact with hockey teams and the rooms was unkind. She was not easy to work with and continued to upcharge us on the conference room even after we cleaned up after ourselves. She first quoted us $250 for the room and then $350 and finally settling on $500 (she said it was to ensure the room got cleaned but we also had to clean up after ourselves). We placed all of our garbage in garbage bags. We had several parents who reserved suites as well so we could congregate with alcohol. We then used some of those bags to contain our alcohol. After we left they charged us $333 in cleaning fees. They then removed those charges and sent another charge for $500. T

Next time, we’ll choose a different hotel. A basic level of cleanliness is expected in any hotel room, and that standard wasn’t met this time. What used to feel like a luxury experience no longer meets expectations. During our most recent stay, we found visible stains on the mattress and a filthy bed skirt in our first room. The staff were extremely helpful, if not slightly embarrassed, and quickly and easily moved us to a new room. The second room was clean, but had dust and hair around the bed skirt near the headboard. The pool looked dirty, the hot tub was closed and cloudy, and the parking area had trash and a strong marijuana smell. For the price, the quality just isn’t there anymore.||On the positive side, the front desk staff was exceptional.

Me and my family had booked a room and had the pleasure of being helped by Anaisa mohab. She was not only attentive but caring and was a delight to be around! She truly made our trip wonderful & went above and beyond for our care. Overall the staff at the westin are amazing, I would highly recommend booking with them!

Positive: Swimming pool in penthouse , has spa Negative: They won’t service room until you ask them and in my case I asked my room to be serviced and nothing happened first time after I returned hotel. I needed to ask again.

I stayed close to eight nights this year and a few nights in years past. This particular property is outstanding from the service level of the staff to the rooms to the overall quiet comfort of the hotel. Of all the Marriott properties for which I have stayed worldwide, this is the best overall property. The runner up was an AC Hotel just outside of Paris. A flagship representation of the Westin brand and other hotel operators could learn so much from the team here. Looking forward to staying again.
