Lake Fairfax Park Campground

Lake Fairfax Campground is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The campground is clean, well maintained, and surrounded by beautiful trees, which makes it feel peaceful while still being close to everyday conveniences. The campsites are nicely spaced, giving you privacy, and the facilities—bathrooms, showers, and picnic areas—are well kept and easy to access. This campground is located in a county park with tons of available activities. There are sports fields of every type, excellent biking and hiking paths, a lake with paddle boats and fishing. There is also a waterpark in the summer. You are literally camping in an active park. The sites are electric only and vary widely in terrain. Good water and a dump station are also available. I would definitely recommend this campground.

Good campground in a fantastic location. Pros: Seems safe enough for being in a populated area. Stores are nearby if you forgot to pack something. The showers and restrooms are very nice and clean. Good trails for hiking and biking, and there is a very nice lake walk. There are multiple game fields and picnic areas. There is a concrete skate bowl that seems to get a lot of use, and there is big water park that was super busy when I was there, so I didn't go in. Cons: Some of the campsites sites are extremely unlevel and would require extensive blocking. All the sites appear to have been gravel at some time, but are mostly dirt now, which is not good if it rains and makes it hard to get level set. Customer Service: Not good. Love this park! Great for Girl Scout and Cub Scout Troop events and campout. Large areas to pitch multiple tents with washrooms in walking distance for easy car camping. Nice trails if you need to get in the woods for a bit! My kids have spent a fair amount of time mountain biking and at the skate park too!

Easy to book the campground online. The employee who checked us in upon arrival was very friendly and helpful. Site 39 has only one neighbor, and the bathrooms are just across the street. Bath house is clean and well stocked. Campground is quiet and wooded. Some sites are closer than others, so be sure to look at the campground map. The first site South of the bath house is quite unlevel. We watched two groups change sites there.
