The Washington Hotel NYC

I stayed at The Washington NYC for vacation and overall had a great experience. The room was very clean, spacious, and quiet, and the bed was extremely comfortable — perfect after long days exploring the city. The location is absolutely perfect: only a 2-minute walk to the World Trade Center, a 7-Eleven right next door, and the subway entrance just steps away. You really can’t beat that in NYC. The view from the room was incredible — definitely one of the highlights of the stay. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Check-in and check-out were super fast with no issues at all, and the $150 deposit for the entire stay was released just two days later, which I really appreciated. It was just a well decorated room. We had a great view. No kettle, no complementary water, luggage storage was with a fee. Changing elevators was also not something you'd look for.

The Washington Hotel has a great location in the heart of the Financial District. It’s incredibly convenient if you want to be close to major downtown attractions and have easy access to transportation. I booked it through Expedia and got an amazing deal, especially considering it was during the holiday season in December / around Christmas. The value for the price was excellent. I really liked the overall vibe of the hotel — the décor and common spaces felt modern, pleasant, and well put together. The facilities were great, and the rooms were very nice and comfortable. One of the highlights for me was the room view: we had a view of One World Trade Center, which was such a beautiful bonus and made the stay feel extra special. Booked this hotel expecting the basics, unfortunately so dissatisfied. For starters the sheets looked dirty. The bathroom had only one tube of shampoo and a tiny tube of body wash for two adults. No lotion, no conditioner. There was only 2 towels. The worst thing of all was the mattress. It was way too soft and weirdly sinking in random spots. I slept a total of 2 hours for the night…the only upside is the views. Also need to use two separate elevators each time you need to leave.

Former NYer here. Lived in NYC all my life until i dipped for the south, so this was a much needed visit. I stayed for about 4 nights. The best selling point is definitely it being in the financial district. Lots of tourist attractions around. The hotel itself looks old. All of the elevators didn’t work, the tiles in the bathroom seem very dusty. I was moved from one room to another because the previous room was poorly maintained. No fridge no microwave, theres a water fountain in the lobby and an ice machine on the room floors. The best looking part was honestly the lobby. It looks like this hotel was once a hot spot, maybe when it first opened but honestly speaking this was a one and done. The staff was nice and there is $150 deposit. Still waiting on the return.
