The timbers

We really liked this location. Had a 2 bed 2 bath cabin, with a screened-on porch. Booked through Airbnb so some cleaning fees applied, but overall this made a great home away from home for a few days. Has a small outdoor pool with a hot tub that was a lot of fun as well.

We stayed at The Timbers, 2 bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen bed), 2 baths, small living room with dining table and very small kitchen and screened in porch. We loved this location. Beautiful nature. Plenty of trees, quite and clean area. Nice golf course onsite. The stuff was friendly. Inside pool seemed to be fun. The cabins are nicely spaced out and look really cozy from the outside. The inside cleanliness should be addressed. Beds were clean and overall no mess, everything was in place. But I did notice a lot of greasy fingerprints on the kitchen cabinets. The dishwasher was very old and some racks rusty. The bathroom door had water splash stains..so this should be all wiped down properly. Our actual accommodations are quite nice, especially having a master bath in addition to the standard one. The privacy is nice but the views are mixed. Two things keeping from 5 star would be the large slide is shut down due to “social distancing” which is confusing and the hot tub is shut down as well. The slide was one of the chief reasons we booked this place and is a big bummer. The rest of the indoor pool is great. Also, prepare yourself for a pretty forward push on joining as a member, the “stench of desperation” was strong with the concierge and focused on helping them out rather than the features of the resort.

Stay planned for Saturday to Saturday, left on Wednesday. My wife and I are in our 70's. Unit 59 required us to walk up 10 steps then walk approximately 50' then up 4 more steps. I had a cooler, a bin of personal kitchen food/condiments, 2 duffel bags of clothes and pillows, a back pack, water, soda and a small suitcase. Kitchen extremely small (one person), very little storage space, limited counter space. Had to let the hot water run for several minutes before it was hot. Master bedroom floor had a slight slope and spongy areas. Closet only opened approximately 2', door hit the bed. Head board was tight against the only window so no natural light. Bureau blocked 1/2 of the heat vent. Master shower had no hot water and shower floor was very slippery when wet. I paid for higher
