Ithaca Marriott Downtown on the Commons

We had such a nice, restful stay at the Ithaca Marriott over New Years Eve! Our north-facing room had a fine view and was well appointed and quiet. Staff were really friendly, and went out of their way to help (in particular, the kind person from Queens who headed up the front desk on January 2 morning). There was a lovely complimentary breakfast on New Years Day, which was much appreciated! This was our fifth year staying here at this particular time. We will definitely be back for a sixth and hopefully many more to come!

Let me tell you something….if you come ti Ithaca, your lodging choices will be limited. But if you stay here, all is well! Great property, friendly staff. “Spike” will hook you up at breakfast…and that’s the most important meal of the day. Rooms are modern and updated. 10 of 10. Time for bed.

We stayed one night from Jan 10-11. Three people and two service dogs. Room 407 was with an amazing window view. Breakfast was delicious, a lot of variety of food and fantastic customer service. Coffee machine was broken at the reception, but I believe they will fix it as soon as possible. NO charger for the EV vehicle in the huge underground parking. The hotel was very clean and looked very well managed.

I'm driving home from my stay at this hotel. We were in town for 2 nights for a national youth wrestling tournament. I have been extremely dissatisfied lately with all the hotels we travel to for my son's wrestling. I do research when I travel. I don't just pick a hotel for location or savings. I usually stick with Marriott because of our Bonvoy Status and MVC ownership, but trust me if the property doesn't seem up to par I'll go elsewhere. ||When your child has to get up at 5:30 am for warmups and you have to make sure you have snacks (and coffee) and all the things... you need a hotel you can be comfortable in and with. Well, hotel was AWESOME! Our room was huge - I try to get a suite when we travel because I need the space and a fridge and a place for all the food we bring to tournamen

Our room was very nice, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Overall our stay in Ithaca was enjoyable and the Marriott was in a great location. Unfortunately, some staff members need training in how to provide exceptional customer service. Some employees believe its better to act rude when rooms are not ready instead of providing a polite response. The young lady who served us in Monks was very friendly, other individuals would benefit from following her lead and have less of an attitude when seating guests.
