The Shores at Beacon House

Fresh from the creative mind of Afika comes this hip, amazing campsite serving as a great escape from the "hustle & bustle" of any overpopulated city. I'm eager to sit fireside by the lake to chill, reflect, and let nature soothe my soul. Kudos to Afika for cultivating a safe space for all to enjoy camping under the stars to rejuvenate their mind, bodies, and spirits. I highly recommend you "recharge" by way of The Shores at Beacon House.

Such and epic spot for camping! Fireside down by the water with the cool breeze coming in from the lake. It was truly a treat to watch the clouds during sunset and wake up to a mystical view of the lake, fog casting over the surface of the water with the colorful trees in the background on a fall morning. Afika and Embur (his sweet German Shepherd dog) were such great hosts. I felt welcome upon arrival and he was gracious enough to offer his help if there was anything I needed. I definitely will return again to get away from the chaos of the city and wake up to such beauty and the surrounding nature.

I have been following Afikas progress on Instagram for years now as he prepares this beautiful campsite. I know from speaking with him that his passions for hospitality and reverence for the beauty in nature have prepared no less than a true oasis away from life’s mundane. This campsite is on my travel bucket list and have no doubt will deliver the perfect curated experience for some glorious lakeside R&R

It's pretty incredible that this gem exists in the middle of the North Carolina piedmont. Afika has done a stellar job of transforming this property into a haven for artistry, creativity and community. I thoroughly enjoy anytime I am able to spend time here - every time is a fresh transformational experience.
