The Ridge Hotel

I am so glad I stayed here, I read some reviews and got nervous, but my experience was great. Location is amazing, it was safe, clean, service was great very helpful, I was in 501 - it was quiet, I will stay there again and I recommended to a friend and she stayed there too, thank you to Jasmine for all the help! Towels and sheets were good thick cotton, the mattress was great. Shower was a beautiful, rain shower head so much hot water. I had a view of the Empire State building! Heat in the room was great too!

The WORST hotel experience I have ever had. The Ridge hotel is an absolute scam. I booked and paid for a king-sized room, and after traveling 12 hours, they overbooked and tried to sneak me into a tiny, filthy double room without saying a word. The room was so cramped you could barely walk around the bed, it was dirty, and it looked nothing like the photos advertised. When I confronted the front desk that it clearly wasn’t the King room we purchased, they admitted the lie and promised a refund. We had no choice but to accept the tiny room, or sleep on the street. I showed them grace and trusted that the refund (at least for the difference in rooms) would come, but it didn’t.|For almost two months, the owner dodged my calls and refused to take responsibility. I really liked it here. Coffee and water available in lobby. Coffee next door is great. Comfy bed and nice bathroom. No amenities which is fine I never use (gym/breakfast/pool) anyways. Location is great. View on rooftop is amazing. Receptionist Jasmin is amazing, thank you

The front desk staff are very nice. The rooms are clean. The location is great. I would like to use it again.

Very acceptable. Room was a little dusty and I’m not sure that the AC worked, but neither were a serious problem for our stay. I was pleased that we had a microwave and fridge. Check-in was rough, as there’s not always someone at the front desk to help you. You’re supposed to check in virtually, and my first attempt at doing so was totally lost in the system. Rooms are very very small, but that’s to be expected in most of NYC. Towels a bit sparse for three adults. Overall the place is just OK. Definitely make sure you have your access code (after they see your completed form) before arrival.
