The Rex Motel

Clean, comfortable and well located! Plus, the owner was amazing! Rooms are slightly dated (probably remodeled in early 00s) but value for spending = high. Next to a gas station, which made it easy to pick up essential snacks, drinks, etc. mini fridge to store leftovers is always a must for us! Shwarma across the street was outstanding, and a few bars within walking distance. Beds were super comfy, no issues with hot water or water pressure, free parking - all appreciated by frequent travelers like us! Will book again during next trip!

Very clean and nicely upgraded rooms. There was no odd smells in the bathrooms were very clean and modern. The rooms felt very soundproof from outside noises. A few things to note, you cannot control the temperature in your room as it is a central unit for all rooms. Also there were no USB ports for charging phones etc. We did appreciate the larger mini fridge and coffee maker. All in all, this was a good place to stay at a reasonable price compared to the chain hotels that overcharge for rooms.

The room is spotless clean. The rate is very reasonable. The owner, Gary is very nice, accomodating and kind. We received early check in and late check out at no cost. Gary gave us a ride to tourist area as well. We had to leave a day early and Gary refunded our money. Overall, a very positive experience. Highly recommend Rex Motel.

We stayed for two nights in high season. Doesn't look like much from the outside but the rooms were very clean, nice and had everything we needed. Bathroom was also clean and well kept. You do hear the neighbors if they're not quiet. It's on a fairly busy street so the sound of traffic might also bother some but it wasn't a problem for us. We can't say anything about the service since we had no interaction with the staff (not present on-site). Overall great value and would stay here again!

This place is not as you would first think. The room was exceptionally clean, comfortable and cozy. Has table and 2 chairs in the room. Full bathroom with large shower. Small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. If you need to power your devices, outlets are minimal (at least in our room). We saw the owner at check-in and never encountered him again. They let you do your own thing. Give you a wifi password and a phone number to text or call if something is required. It is close enough to everything you could want of Niagara but out of the rat race. We will be staying here again.
