The Retreat In Laguna

Wonderful staff that made my stay feel very special! The hotel is so lovely and we enjoyed our accommodations! Loved the balcony and our room! We were overlooking the ocean and listening to the sounds of the waves were so soothing! Small suitable adorable little kitchenette that could service your needs during your stay! What I also loved is the location as everything is right nearby! This is a dog friendly hotel!

I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND this place, there are so many issues and I FULLY REGRET ever discovering their website. I wouldn't want anyone else to lose the money here hoping for vacation and ending up with a nightmare. Honestly, I hope that people choose somewhere honest so they do not have a bad experience I did and waste thousands of dollars just to find out. Hope the review helps. Update: Owner responded to original post below and took no responsibility for horrid experience. No surprise. There are so many beautiful places to stay in Laguna honestly. In my opinion, it's not worth it to risk losing money, let alone thousands of dollars for an unpleasant experience. Surf and Sand, the Ritz, Hilton are all great depending on preferences. Super sweet little villa with a full kitchen, comfortable bed and excellent view. We enjoyed the common area and grilling on our own private balcony. Slightly off the main road so most of the sound came from the ocean. The bathroom shower drain was a little slow and the blinds were a little rough, but other than that, it was great. There is not daily cleaning, but we prefer the privacy. ||||We had originally booked a room at 14West, but was offered this place for a reasonable surcharge. Well worth the money. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.

I don’t know where to start the place itself is beautiful! As soon as you arrive it feels more like a small house than a rental! Very cozy and steps away from the beach with easy access!! We stayed in villa 2 which was my favorite it has a good mix of privacy with its own balcony and amazing view! Parking was effortless and in front of our spot. but I’d have to say besides the fantastic views the best part was the SERVICE! ||Nasrin at the front desk was beyond accomidating and helpful and went even above and beyond to play happy birthday in the lobby for us and take photos of us with the beautiful background!!!! I highly recommend this place for anyone that wants amazing service and an amazing place to stay! Can’t wait to revisit next time!

We booked our stay at the retreat due to the proximity to the beach little did we know we were going to be having one of the most exciting experiences. We stayed from the 20-21 and booked to stay again from the 29-31 of January. We were attended to by Salvador at the front desk. He is phenomenal. The villas are quite extraordinary with everything you need in the villas. Full size kitchen, fire place enough towels, and even towels for if you’re going down to sun at the sand. At the retreat our first booking was for Villa Da Vinci and after that we booked to stay at Sleepy Hallow 2 and during our visit in June we stayed again at both Sleepy Hallow and The sunset Cove which are all being managed by one management. I strongly recommend this places to anyone who craves that awesome experienc
