Wasn't a pleasant experience. ||1. Upon check-in, we were told that a room on the top floor was not avaliable even though we had pre-confirmation in black and white. The excuse given was that their 'sales agent' did not pass on the request. What part of this whole equation is that the fault of the guest? We were eventually given a ground floor room facing the blank wall of another building structure. ||2. Got a panicky call the following morning before 8am on a Saturday I might add, claiming that my car was improperly parked or rather I had usurped someone else's lot. I was met at reception by an irate employee threatening me that if I didn't move my car, it would be towed. My response to that was that no information was made to us on check-in that lots were allocated and that we wer
Location, Location, Location! |Imagine waking every morning to a gorgeous ocean view featuring Catalina Island! ||We've just completed a wonderful one-week stay at Laguna Shores, which is located right on Cliff Drive across from Heisler Park and the Pacific Ocean. The "bird rock" tide pools are located just down the steps from Heisler Park, too.||The free Laguna Beach trolly stops just a block away (the long coast ride is a must) and the popular Main Beach and downtown Laguna Beach are a 1/4 mile stroll away. ||Our studio suite was just right and featured a fully appointed kitchen, and by fully appointed I mean it had everything needed to cook and enjoy our own meals. I was surprised to even find a blender and hand-mixer, mixing bowls, pots and pans, dishware, silverware, cooking utensil
First of all, the staff were very helpful and friendly. When we checked in though the one mistake they made was in not telling us how to park on the roof where our parking space was. It took us two tries to finally find how to get on the roof to park. One of the staff helped us to our room. Before leaving, she did tell us that after 6 PM if we wanted to run the microwave, we had to turn out all the lights or it would blow out all the Electricity and the maintenance man would have to be called to fix it. As it has been mentioned in the other reviews, the Murphy bed is probably the worst Bed that we have ever slept on. We did not find any other blankets in the closet like we were told they would be. There is no air conditioning, but it does have a fan in the room. The good news is it
+ Location is good + Hotel is clean and quiet. - Booking.com lists the studio room as "1 queen bed". The studio is a *murphy bed* that folds down from the wall, and is not terribly comfortable. For $200 a night I expect much more than a murphy bed. This is really more on me for not clicking through and reading a detailed description. - Very short check in hours from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm, when the front desk is closed and locked. - Rooms are sparsely stocked with 2 pillows and a thin blanket. Kitchenette, but no dish soap or hand soap? - The staff are unfriendly, have an attitude, and are stingy. I went to the front desk to ask for two extra pillows - the room only comes stocked with 2 pillows. The staff member on duty sighed and told me that she would see what they have and I may not be able
Misleading photos on booking website. The room does not look like That AT all in real life. It’s murphy bed btw that feels like you’re drowning to sleep as the mattress is way too soft. The TV is placed on the side so it’s not ergonomic to watch. Otherwise, the kitchenette has all the essentials. Room was satisfactorily clean. Across the hotel is the beautiful Heisler Park with sunset concerts at the park and free trolley stop in Heisler Park to town from September to June. Walking distance to the Main Beach and downtown. Very crowded on Friday and Saturday BUT Feels safe as numerous police patrolling the beaches
