The Montage Laguna Beach is in a class of its own—absolute perfection from start to finish. From the moment you arrive, the service is impeccable, warm, and effortlessly attentive. The property itself is breathtaking, with stunning ocean views at every turn and beautifully maintained grounds that feel both luxurious and serene. Every detail is thoughtfully done, creating an experience that feels special without ever feeling pretentious. Whether you’re enjoying the rooms, the dining, or simply walking the paths overlooking the Pacific, it’s pure coastal elegance at its finest. Truly one of those rare places that exceeds expectations and leaves you already planning your return.

I have to say, I’ve been extremely disappointed by my last two visits to the montage. And this is a resort that I LOVED. I celebrated major life moments here and held it in such regard but my past two visits I have dealt with room issues (including being injured with absolutely no follow up from staff when it was 100% hotel fault), snarky staff, and just lackluster customer service. The location is incredible, it’s truly such a magical property but without good service it leaves you feeling disappointed and dreading ever coming back. I don’t want to give up on it but I can’t see myself recommending it in its current state.

Attended the Corporate School of Etiquette Montage event recently and was blown away by this property, so I was excited to read about the brand expanding into new destinations soon. The service at the hotel was top-notch and the property is absolutely stunning. Every meal was delicious and the sommelier and chefs were knowledgeable and passionate.

You can’t help but relax when visiting this property but a couple of “shout-outs” to some of the staff. Excellent service from Johnny at The Loft restaurant for the morning shift, Kody working the Lobby Lounge at night and Kayvon during the day…. Great attitude, attention and personality from all three. Great job.

I checked into Montage to celebrate my birthday, and several aspects made the stay worthwhile. Check-in with Olga was very pleasant, though the resort fee and what it included were not explained. Overall, the front desk and bell service teams felt meek and unengaged; I often felt like I was bothering them rather than being welcomed. For a property of this caliber, guest interaction and anticipation of needs should be much stronger.||The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Housekeeping was excellent—turndown service and small details like Velcro cord wraps were thoughtful touches.
