The Red Rose Motel

Can’t recommend this motel enough! We had the best weekend getaway here. The owners are incredibly friendly and hospitable—they let us relax by the fire as long as we liked and even treated us to celebratory drinks after learning we had just gotten engaged the weekend before. They truly made the stay feel special. I had seen a prior comment mentioning a moldy smell, but that was not our experience at all. From the moment we walked in, everything smelled fresh and clean—like linen and cedar. The room was spotless, and the bedding was comfortable and cozy. However, the real highlight is the fireplace in the main lobby/tavern area—it creates such a warm, inviting atmosphere. This is both a motel and a tavern. I would give it 4 stars as a hotel (mostly because they don't provide anything in the way of breakfast) but 5 stars for the tavern. We ate at the tavern 2 nights and the food was excellent both times. The smoked back ribs were amazing. The meat literally fell off the bone. Portions are also huge. They have a good range of drinks (although don't do cocktails) and a couple of firepits to drink them by. I can highly recommend eating here, even if you aren't staying.

Fine dining with a Cozy clean environment The Red Rose Motel is a hidden Gem in the Catskills . Was there all day yesterday and stayed the night for a friends birthday . I did not want to leave . Hotels today are too focused on WHATS NEW and cookie cutter designs that don’t make a stay memorable . Not only will I never forget this place but … I’m going back ! Besides being a comfortable place to crash for a night , the food is just top tier but not a rip off . I will highly recommend eating and staying here to anyone ! See you soon Oliver <3

The Red Rose Inn is where all travelers go for a comfortable stay. In 2018, on my way home from the city after market, I once visited there and met Brandon who offered me a root beer, which I really loved after drinking it out of a glass bottle. It was cozy when I walked in the lobby and it has a great fireplace.

$150 a night is overpriced but it has a nice family atmosphere. They've kept this building that was built in 1938 authentic. The food was terrific but the service was terrible. The room was a good size but the refrigerator was dirty. and the room smelled like mold. But the shower was hot and the bed was comfortable. Very pretty spot off Old Route 17 and close to the town of Roscoe. Unfortunately they allowed some knucklehead to come in at 1:00 a.m., sounded like they were throwing furniture around and then wouldn't stop talking for an hour. I ended up sleeping in my car which was extremely quiet and comfortable. In the morning I saw the knucklehead's shoes outside their door and was very tempted to throw them into the woods. Would only use this place again if nothing else was available.
