Rockland House

3.9 review. I think one reviewer wrote about the odor. My wife said the same thing. The crackers and cheese can be done away with. Bad crackers. The soup was very good. The salad bar is nice. The trout we ate was very good. But the baked potato was not steaming hot and was wrinkled in appearance. I would like to try a steak, but for the price, it is too much because the carpet and the decor is so outdated. It needs a new life. Get rid of that carpet and sand the floors. Waitress was very good.

The Rockland House is a small hotel unit turn by the restaurant of the same name on the main road just outside of Roscoe. We booked a room at the last minute after a day of hiking in the Catskills Fall foliage. The location is next door to the Roscoe Brewing Company (excellent), and close to many local restaurants. Our room was in the back facing away from the main road and was quiet with a beautiful night sky. The room was small and clean, and had night table, desk, chair, double bed, refrigerator, free Wifi, and flat screen TV with full cable. The bathroom was large and had all working fixtures and new tiles. The toilet is old style low to the ground. The mattress and pillows were comfortable. The heating system worked well. All three of us had a terrific dinner at Rockland House tonight. They serve a cheese appetizer, have a soup, salad and bread bar, and the steaks were fantastic. We all had the cowboy steak and it was cooked perfectly. The service was great as well. Thanks Paige for taking such great care of us. We will definitely be back

Worst food and service I have ever had in my life. The waitress was so unattentive to us. The prime rib was pan seared and tested like it was days old. My wife got the seafood special that was far from special. The sauce tasted like pasta water. The waitress came with to go tins and we said no but she never asked how our meal was. We barely ate our food. I would never go back

Excellent prim rib dinner!! Large, delicious salad bar!! Big variety on menu. Large bar with several tvs. Highly recommended!!
