I tent camped opening day, April 1st, for trout fishing in 2023 (or was it 2024?). No matter! Despite the frigid temperatures we caught fish. The hosts, Paul & lovely wife Bridget, were warm and very helpful. Unexpectedly, we have friends in common, which was surprising and gave us all a good laugh, a handshake, and a friendly "nice-to-meet-you". The facilities are kept very clean and tidy, the campsites each has a place for a campfire, and new trees were being planted. There is easy access to the river for fishing and recreation and the village of Roscoe is conveniently a 5 minute drive, or a short bicycle ride, away. A great place to camp.

As a single woman RV camper who has been living here full-time for nearly five months, I can honestly say I feel completely safe, welcome, and part of a true community at Butternut Grove. Paul and Bridget, the owners, have created something really special here — a family-like atmosphere where wonderful people gravitate to every weekend.|When my RV furnace had issues during my second week here, both the owners and another camper jumped right in to help. They took the furnace apart and even provided a part I needed — going far above and beyond what anyone could expect. That kind of genuine care is the norm here.|The beauty of the surroundings is unmatched — mountains, trees, and the flowing Beaverkill River right at your doorstep. And it’s not just the scenery — Paul and Bridget put so much

My husband and I stayed at Butternut Grove last weekend for the first time, and we were absolutely blown away. We reserved a tent spot right along the river with a deck included. Check in was easy, we did it online. The owner was so kind, and delivered us ice and wood right to our site. The view, the fishing, everything was amazing. Don't even get me started on the bathrooms!!! Easily the cleanest, newest bathrooms I have ever used while camping. We will be back every chance that we get!

A Perfect Getaway in Nature! I recently spent a few days at Butternut Grove Campsites and had a fantastic experience. The location is simply unbeatable, right on the banks of the famous Beaverkill River, making it a paradise for fishing enthusiasts. The sound of the river is the perfect soundtrack for relaxing and completely unwinding. What impressed me most was the welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The owners are incredibly kind and you can tell they care about every detail to make your stay perfect. It's a place where you quickly feel part of a community, with a family-friendly vibe that makes you feel right at home. Plus, the facilities were very clean and well-maintained. Whether you're looking for a peaceful place to fish, a family weekend getaway, or just a way to escape the hus

I made a reservation online for their Tiny Cabin, paid the required 25% deposit and received a confirmation email. Im thinking all is good. I arrived around 5pm (you can't check in until after 3pm) and found the office locked. I called the number and left a message. I saw a man walking and asked if he worked there. He didn't but pointed me in the direction of the cabin. I drove over and it was unlocked. The bunk beds were clearly not made up, as if someone had slept there the night before. The owner texts me, "Hi sorry, we are out in town with the kids. The code to the tiny cabin is 1866 unlock. I don't think it has been cleaned up. It wasn't supposed to be available to book." Okay, that's your problem, not mine. Your system allowed me to make the reservation and took my deposit and now I'
