The Park Ave North

Flew in from Michigan, stayed here for 2 nights. It was small as expected but bigger than expected as well if that makes sense lol. No amenities, like breakfast or other things. But we hardly there so we definitely did not mind. Was perfect for my husband and I. Walking distance from the subway so it worked out wonderful for us. Would recommend for a short stay. Train was right there so it was noisy, but we didn’t mind, still slept great. No elevator and we were so happy to have our own bathroom instead of sharing one with our floor like other hotels.

This is a great option for a budget conscience traveler. The room is barebones, which you would expect at the price point, but it's clean and comfortable and has everything you need.||The location is pretty good -- in a residential section of Harlem with the bars and restaurants are a couple blocks away.||If you're arriving after 6 pm, they give you instructions to get your key from a lockbox. The process was smooth.||Obviously, this is a budget hotel, so you have to go in with that expectation. Would definitely stay here again.

Have stayed there for 7-10 days on 2 occasions when I had family in Mt. Sinai Hospital. Each day I enjoyed a morning walk to Hospital which helped my stress & kept me healthy. The staff is super. They made it clear before paying for booking that it is a 3 floor walk up. No elevator. 3-4 rooms Per floor share large bathrooms each floor. (1 fl has extra shower room + the large shared bathroom with tub). Very clean. I was there both times during below freezing nites and was kept toasty warm. Would highly recommend.

Loved this sweet place, the staff, and the room itself. We had the family ensuite, with an adjoining room (sleeps 6, but was great for 4, worth the extra for us to have a separate sleep-in space) Staff were delightful, let us leave luggage, and got us an early check-in. I always check TripAdvisor reviews and some folks loved the location while others were freaked out by the neighborhood. I am in the "loved the neighborhood" group. The hotel is at the corner of Park Ave and 129th, facing 129th. The most direct walking route north to 129th from the 125 station (or the M60 bus stop if you're coming from LaGuardia) might be Park Ave, but I recommend heading the four blocks north on Madison instead, which is much quieter and open.
