The Oceanfront Litchfield Inn

Great location. We stayed in the Towers on third floor balcony with an awesome ocean view. Room was a spacious and clean. Bathrooms need updating. Breakfast food in restaurant was very good, but had to wait almost an hour and half to get food two days in a row. The free breakfast is worth it if you can wait. They only had one server for all tables. We chose not to use our free breakfast coupons our last two days. Location is three miles from Huntington Beach State Park, Brookgreen Gardens and several restaurants.

Place was nice with excellent ocean front views. Hallways were louder than expected after 10 pm. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room was nice size and clean. Queen beds seemed a little smaller than a queen size.

We stayed here for 5 days in Dec. to get away from the cold of the mountains. We stayed here last Winter in Jan. and had a great time, so we decided to return. ||The room was an Oceanfront Dunes King Room on the second floor - the same type of room we had last time. The layout was virtually identical to the previous one.||It has a spacious bedroom and sitting area with plenty of storage and a small table with 2 chairs - perfect for 2 people to sit and enjoy a meal. The lighting at the head of the bed was good for reading. Positive: Nothing Negative: The rooms we old and moldy my husband got sick from the mold. The pics online are not what the rooms look like. There’s no elevator and we were on the third floor with a injury. there was no pool and we were not ocean front

The rates are given WITHOUT housekeeping charges, which you find out about later and pay for PER DAY here. But worse, after being away for the day, we returned to find there no housekeeping had been done -- apart from a pile of towels being left in the corner of the bathroom. The bed wasn't made, the trash wasn't taken, the towels weren't hung. If you are going to charge for housekeeping you should provide housekeeping. I pointed this out to the front desk guy who rudely interrupted me twice and dismissed my complaint of not receiving housekeeping I paid for. The customer in front of me complained about some lights not working and after they repeated it a third time, he pretended to make a note of it just long enough for them to walk away.
