The Nolitan

I stayed here for a solo weekend trip and it served my needs pretty well. The great: * THE LOCATION. Reeeeally loved being so centrally located on the border of LES / Bowery, able to easily walk anywhere in lower Manhattan. * the natural light in my room was amazing The not-ideal: * The shower pressure wasn't that great (it was one of those rain showerheads.) * a housekeeping person woke me up early the morning of checkout to ask me if I "wanted any water or anything"??? That was weird and a little annoying * There were only two towels, which for me was not enough The terrible: * The LIGHTING. The toilet is in its own separate little room, and a fluorescent overhead light TURNS ON BY ITSELF anytime you enter. This meant that at 3am when I went to use it in my sleepy stupor, I was blinde

Not a horrible experience, but definitely will not return. Room was lacking so much: Dirty floors No towel racks Bed was a queen, yet comforter was a full. Not enough to cover two people. Needed heavier blankets this time of year. Overhead light fixture did not work. Banged up furniture Lobby was dark and disheveled, with mismatched furniture. Entryway was uninviting. Truly not a boutique hotel. There's a lot of work that needs to be done to make the space decent. I hope they get it together! The restaurant is beautiful. Go figure!

First of all, you'd be wise to ignore the Hotels.com page for the Nolitan Hotel. Look, they need to do what they need to do, which is to make the property look fabulous, exciting, up to date. To be fair, it is none of those things.However, it is charming, good-enough, with many things to make it a good pick. Let's get the "challenges" out of the way for those who want a legit 4+ -star hotel experience so they can keep scrolling. There are no ice machines, no bar or restaurant in the hotel proper. There is a restaurant "(Italian-Japanese fusion ?) but they seem to open and close when they want. We've been here almost a week and have not lucked out yet. Worst customer service experience I’ve ever had in a hotel — and it happened at the checkout. I stayed at this hotel on 23/11/2025, and what happened during checkout was absolutely unacceptable. The employee working that night was literally sleeping at the front desk when we arrived. We had to call him multiple times just to wake him up and proceed with checkout. What came next was even worse. Instead of apologizing or showing any professionalism, he became extremely rude, visibly irritated that we had woken him up. He mistreated me and my wife, spoke to us with disrespect, and created a very uncomfortable and humiliating situation. There was no courtesy, no basic customer service, not even minimal respect — something I would never expect from any hotel, regardless of price or category.

Anyone giving this hotel more than one star is either being compensated or has extremely low standards. This place is an absolute dump, and we are actively trying to relocate to another hotel because it is completely unacceptable to stay here.if hotel does not issue a full refund for the false advertisement and numerous issues we will be reporting it as FRAUD to our credit card company, that is how absolutely falsely advertised this dump is. The room is filthy and roughly the size of a shoebox. Multiple basic functions do not work — the lights don’t work, outlets don’t work, and the TV remote doesn’t work. The side tables are warped and deteriorating, there is visible dirt on the floors, and the bed consists of nothing more than a sheet and a thin felt-like fabric pretending to be bedding
