Customer Reviews
I want to start by saying that the concept of this place is a great idea, and for the price, it’s definitely one of the more affordable options in the center of Manhattan. The location is excellent, with so many things to do in the area, and as a solo traveler, I appreciated feeling safe staying on the women’s-only floor. That said, there are a few things future guests should know before booking. First, there are no elevators, so if you have heavy or multiple pieces of luggage, be prepared to climb several flights of stairs. The cabin-style bedrooms also have open ceilings, which means you’ll hear doors slamming throughout the night. While they do have a no-noise policy that keeps things fairly quiet otherwise, the door noise was hard to avoid. The bed setup was very minimal — it only came
SOLO WOMEN TRAVELERS PLS READ**** was there for three days, the front desk people were so nice. I arrived too early and they let me drop off my luggage as I went out to explore nyc after a long time. I like it overall my stay was nice, barely any noise and there was a pretty peaceful section for women only!! Sadly I didn’t take a picture of the cozy section but the scenery outside from the second floor (women only). Overall I will come here again!!!! In order to get to the women section only you must book for ONLY WOMEN section!!!! I promise it’s worth it !!
Positive: Location is great. Lounge and bathrooms look exactly like the pics. Bathrooms are remarkably clean. Price is really low because of the rooms. The rooms are very clean but tiny with ZERO amenities. The only convneince is WiFi. But its good Wifi. Negative: It actually surpassed my expectations. The common areas actually look every bit as nice as the pics on their website. But the rooms are as tiny and bare as they look on the website.
Great place to stay if on a budget and just want a bed. The host Steve is very helpful and welcoming. Rules are posted for everyone to have an enjoyable experience. The lounges are nice too!
price was great, central location, you get your own space and you are left alone, womens only floor felt so safe, and there is a lovely communal area with very comfy seating, wifi is good. just be aware ceilings are open, it's quiet but you inevitably will hear people coming back to their rooms, it wasn't a problem for me though as othrr than that very quiet. you can't eat/drink in your room but can in the common area, you don't get any food/drink included but there is a kettle and a fridge. I thought the bed was comfy but I am only 5ft1 so not sure how it would be for someone taller, a little cold at times in the common area with the aircon so bring an extra blanket, you can leave your bags on check out, showers were good, always hot when I used them
